I'm the same, 18+5 and constantly exhausted. Just posting to keep an eye out for tips! :)

Welcome to the wonderful world of parenthood! I've got a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old and I'm permanently shattered. It improves a bit when they start sleeping through the night, but I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear

I slept 12 hours last night and could genuinely fall asleep again now. I have stuff to do that won't get done as I can't concentrate

I feel your pain...
I'm 16 weeks too, and between weeks 13-15 I started to perk up and I was jumping for joy inside... but now, it has hit like a ton of bricks again!
My eyes are drooping whilst typing this :)

FoofFighter · 04/07/2013 14:14

I perked up for a while in 2nd tri, now at 34w am back to exhaustion, probably the weather isn't helping either

SandraClegane · 04/07/2013 14:15

Pregnancy tiredness is hell. Not as bad as the First Weeks tiredness after having a baby though Wink
I'm 13w and feel completely drained. I can't go a single day without having a midday nap (which is tricky with a 2yo and a 4yo running around), even though I probably get 8 hours a night now that my younger one is sleeping through. If this is your first, I suggest you sleep as much as you can, whenever you can... With my first I'd just pass out on the sofa the minute I got home from work! Too bad I can't do that anymore.

Fragglewump · 04/07/2013 14:16

I think it stops when they leave home!

thehomesecretary · 04/07/2013 14:23

36+2 with DC2 and can confirm that it only gets worse. Sorry!!
Think of the newborn cuddles though. Makes it all worthwhile!

Dolallytats · 04/07/2013 14:25

I'm 37+3 and am shattered...sorry!!

Locketjuice · 04/07/2013 14:34

I had the tiredness up until 20 weeks then full of energy blitzing the house at 1am because I just couldn't sit still and now at 34+3 I'm just starting to slow down again but haven't quite hit the brick wall yet so still staying awake past 10pm(rebel I know Wink) so you might be lucky like I was and feel more alive soon, chasing round a 18 MO is what does me in Smile

rowtunda · 04/07/2013 14:38

You feel tired now - just wait till the baby arrives!

Whipple · 04/07/2013 14:43

I am pg with dc3.

The first trimester (and a bit beyond sometimes) is the worst for tiredness. I actually think its worse than when the baby is born. This isn't natural exhaustion, its hormonal and all the sleep in the world doesn't make you feel any better.

I am normally fine in the second trimester and then start feeling heavy and tired towards my due date.

Atm I am struggling and would honestly swap this kind of tiredness for the tiredness of having a newborn any day - and that's saying something because dd1 never slept!

zipzap · 05/07/2013 22:04

According to my dad, the first 51 years are the worst...

Xmasbaby11 · 05/07/2013 23:03

Middle trimester OK. 32 weeks + ..hell

Gonnabmummy · 05/07/2013 23:14

You'll get a few nice nights sleep maybe 5 think you have won the lottery and all is well, then BOOM even worse :'(

neolara · 05/07/2013 23:19

Honestly? When the youngest got to about 2 1/2. Sorry.

VelmaDaceDinkley · 05/07/2013 23:45

Another who thinks pregnancy tiredness is worse than new baby tiredness. It's definitely worse in the heat.

MortifiedAdams · 05/07/2013 23:46

AbiElizabeth · 06/07/2013 00:07
