Under-bump crease - is this normal?

Random question of the day. Am now 37 weeks gone and starting to look rather whale like. I have a very strange question... is it normal for the 'crease' between bump and pelvis to be quite pronounced?

Basically, my pants, tights anything keeps getting rolled up onto the 'crease' and it rubs, giving me a really uncomfy shaving rash among other things.

Up until recently, it was more slopelike and was fine. Is this normal? Am I just the size of a house? I am allegedly the owner of a 'neat' bump (tho measures bang on for dates) so am a bit surprised by the newfound discomfort.

Anything I can do to ease it?

Do you mean there's a bump "overhang"? If so, I had this before baby dropped (mine was thanks to being podgy so baby dropping smoothed it out) and I ended up with a bumpy rash there. Midwife told me what it was from (trousers etc rubbing it). I stopped wearing trousers that had any type of rough edge where the belly band met the trousers..and then just went for leggings (had been trying to be cool with my skinny coloured jeans!). Hey presto it went and I am a LOT more comfortable!

Yeah - that sounds familiar, though it's not quite an overhang (yet!) - that could also answer the other question on my mind about whether or not baby has dropped, too!

I've had to ditch work trousers as they were agony, and live in over-bump leggings at home (but not smart enough for work) - but even the massive granny pants I'd invested in for post-birth are rolling up there (despite being very loose!).

Thanks for making me feel less freaky!

I think it is quite normal - I also got during recent heatwave a sweat line between my boobs and bump - nice and extremely attractive. Hmm

p.s. I live in leggings or preg. jeans or dresses - maybe a dress is better for work for you?

Thanks Tea - don't remind me about the boobs-bump crease as well! Bump is now pushing on bra strap and sometimes sort of doubles that over as well Confused

A friend gave me a mat skirt a while back, which I am using this week - it's size 12 and huge (I'm normally an 8), but is doing the trick. Have had to survive this pg with minimal spend on clothes hence trying to make things fit way longer than ideal - but only two and a half days to go in the office then I can lounge in my dresses and leggings (or not if it really heats up) to my fat little heart's content!
