Basicly I have noticed that the small pads i have been wearing due to discharge have been quite wet lately, Dont think its waters as its been happening for a few days now but dont think im peeing myself either unless i am and just dont notice Blush

What is this?

It could be a slow leak of waters. Best way to test that is to lay down for at least half an hour (longer if possible) and if you feel a wee gush/leak when you stand up its likely to be waters. They do have quite a distinct smell that isnt like any other body fluid/odour.

Otherwise i dont know, someone more experienced will hopefully come along soon.

Well it could be two things. Your waters slowly leaking or you're peeing yourself and not noticing! It's difficult to tell.

I've been having this for a few weeks myself, at first I thought it was my waters, but turns out i'm peeing and not noticing or feeling it. Blush It's just dribbles really. My baby's head is really low down and pressing on all kinds down there.

I read though, if you lie down for some time and stand up and you get a trickle or a gush, then it's your waters. Also the fluid is supposed to smell like straw.

Either way, get checked out or phone your midwife.

Yes, I leaked from 34 weeks. Only realised what it was when the midwife went to break my waters and realises I only had my front waters, the back had gone!

As gross as this sounds just had a sniff and it don't smell like urine it weirdly smells sweetish sort of?!

Sorry, please don't laugh at me, but - there's two types of waters?

I'm so in over my head!!! Blush

speak to your midwife, she may send you for a scan to check fluid levels.

i had same, first pregnancy so i had no idea what was 'Normal'.

DD was delivered 3weeks early as a result. She was totally fine.

its probably just wee but best to mention it anyway, the sniff test, grim as it is, is good advice.

newmum I didn't realise there was until she made that comment!!

Poss tmi but towards the end of my pregnancy my normal discharge increased LOADS. I asked my mw about it at the time and she said it was normal. Could it be this for you?
Definitely get checked out if you're worried though.
