Where is the pain and is it like anything you e experienced before?

I am 4/5 wks and have general low level discomfort and sometines pain in the uterus, which I am putting down to stretching ready for a baby to grow.

Could it be that?

I'm 4/5 weeks too with my second, and also have a tugging / snagging sensation to the left side.

What sort of pain is it?

I had a miscarriage last month and that was a very strong cramping feeling, to the point where I could bearly stand and felt v weak.

Hopefully yours is more a stretching feeling as mortifyed says? I think it's also fairly normal to experience stabbing, needle types pains. I had that with my last pg. fingers crossed for you

Hi - I'm also 6 weeks pregnant with my first and I have had painful period pain-like cramps for the past two-and-a-half weeks. Needless to say I was freaking out, esp as other pregnant friends hadn't experienced anything like this. But I have spoken to my GP and a midwife friend about it and all is apparently very normal. She was very reassuring, nothing to worry about, unless you start to get heavy bleeding along with it. It is just the uterus stretching and readjusting
