I'm on bed rest, again, for the fourth time and I'm only 18 weeks (today!)

Am I the only one who finds being confined to one place or another for a week or more completely frustrating?! And if one more person asks me where I'm going when I get to pee, I will strangle them.

It's late and I'm unable to sleep and for some reason; cranky. Anyone else sharing my bed rest blues?!

so sorry to hear you are going through this. i had a week off work when i first had my cervical cerclage. i definitely needed the rest but i hated the lying around with no sense of purpose - and far too much time to worryand get involved with dr google!

being back at work, though tiring, has made me feel much better.

how long are you likely to be off for?

Ha ha, yes I feel your pain. That bit about people asking where you're going when you get up - makes you want to scream.

I'm not on enforced bed rest but am on crutches with my leg in plaster. 33 weeks and fed up beyond belief.

With 3 other dc to look after its no fun at all.

Hope you can get up and about soon.

oh god this is me this week. I gave myself heat exhaustion at the weekend and now have been ordered to stay in bed till Thursday Sad

I'm getting the Spanish inquisition for going to the loo or getting a drink of water!

Kelly - I'm likely to be off the rest of my pregnancy, though I have been offered to come back. All depends on how the next few week go regarding one of the babies.

Friday - me too! I have a week on bed rest then light activities until 20 week scan.

Abi - It's annoying but shows they care, no matter how frustrating.

I can totally sympathise. I am on and off bed rest too for a low lying placenta and bleeding. I´m nearly 15 weeks and this has been going on for a month now but it feels like eternity! It´s so annoying as bleeding keeps stopping and I think I am finally in the clear, time to get on with my life yay, only for it to start all over again.
People keep saying - take advantage, lucky you, you can read books and watch films etc, but it all gets very dull after the first week or so!
What do you do to keep your spirits up?
