Hi ladies & gents. Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong area or something but could do with some help/advice/morale boosting. Dh & I have been ttc since march & so far no joy...or maybe joy! :-s basically my cycle is usually about 31-32 days long & I'm on day 33 today but no AF.
I have all my usual pms symptoms... Cranky, sore boobs, some cramping but no AF! Usually I'd have spotting or bloody discharge (sorry if th@s tmi) about 2-3 days before AF, which hasn't happened this month & I have added symptoms of extreme lethargy, intermittent nausea (altho I'm still eating & not vomiting) & major lower back pain (I get back pain sometimes during my period but this is more intense).
Was excited & virtually convinced I'm pregnant, told Dh of my thoughts & everything but today I took a pt (took it at 5am to get an early morning sample altho I had gotten up previously in the nite to go to the loo) & it came back negative! :-(
I don't know what to think! This is most unusual for my body. Also being treated for a touch of thrush as I'd had some feminine itching (altho I'm not convinced its thrush) could that cause a missed period but still give me pms symptoms?
Any help/responses greatly appreciated!

Just changed my nickname to something a lil more original :-)

WeAreEternal · 30/06/2013 15:37

The only way to know if you are pregnant is to POAS. Wait a few days and try again.

The thrush could be messing with your cycle but I haven't personally experienced this.

WannaBMummaDee · 30/06/2013 15:39

Sorry I'm new what is poas?

WannaBMummaDee · 30/06/2013 15:42

Oh I got it pee on a stick. Neva mind thanks!

TinkyPeet · 30/06/2013 15:47

Is this your 1st dee?
Some women don't get a +ive til they are several days or even a week late so there is still hope. On the other hand my af was a week late on my first cycle ttc and it just drove me nuts.
The only way to know for sure is to wait and test in a few days time. Although, realistically when I was late I tested at least once a day every dayWink If there is still no change after a week or more your dr may be able to do a blood test but they won't do that straight away.
Fingers crossed for you Smile.

WannaBMummaDee · 30/06/2013 15:55

Thank you. Yes it is my 1st. Driving myself crazy wondering if I could have gotten a false negative or if I'm just wishful thinking!

WannaBMummaDee · 30/06/2013 17:21

Have many of you mums/mum to bes had a delayed positive pt?

MortifiedAdams · 30/06/2013 17:23

I was convinced I was pg for a week. Took a test every day, negative. Got a positive yesterday.

Give it three days then poas again.

kasareem · 30/06/2013 17:27

Hi Dee, I had exactly the same, especially the intense lower back pain - thought it was from doing washing in a low sink though ha ha. I also had heart burn which I've never had before. My positive was not until a week late! It drove me nuts waiting too! I'm 7 weeks now. Fingers crossed for you! xx

I had a feeling I was pregnant, felt 'different' for nearly a fortnight, every poas came back negative. I went with the clearblue and other name brands thinking they'd be most sensitive. By this time I was so disheartened I sent DH to supermarket for a cheapie test kit (in case I was) and a bottle of wine (in case I wasn't!) Came up vv positive, and the result is crawling around on all fours pretending to be a dog right now! Fingers crossed for you!xx

WannaBMummaDee · 30/06/2013 19:03

Aw thanks guys & congrats to you all. I'm gonna do as suggested & leave it a few days & then if AF does not visit ill test again. I used a poundland cheapy this time as (i bought it last month just before AF visited. I wanted to be prepared just in case but obviously didn't need it)I didn't want to waste money if I'm only going to get bad news anyway. Next time I think ill try clear blue or something.

WannaBMummaDee · 02/07/2013 19:52

3 days late today! Haven't dared to test again yet but I'm gonna test again on Thursday am if no AF (I really dont think shes coming). I will then be 5 days late. Back is still very achey & my boobs are killing me!

Fairypants · 02/07/2013 20:13

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Dee.

WannaBMummaDee · 02/07/2013 21:07

Thank you fairy pants :-)

terilou87 · 02/07/2013 21:08

fingers crossed for your bfp Smile

WannaBMummaDee · 03/07/2013 10:09

4 days late today but I've just had some fresh bloody discharge :-( Really anxious & upset & concerned now that my body has been playing tricks on me & I'm gonna get my AF now after all. I've neva been 4 days late before! :-(

kasareem · 03/07/2013 18:03

Try not to worry, our bodies are wierd and wonderful things... Hope you're feeling ok today, any more news? A bit of discharge isn't that unusual!

WannaBMummaDee · 03/07/2013 18:42

There was a lil fresh blood in the discharge which lead me to think AF was gonna rear her ugly head :-( However that was at about 9.30 this mornin & it's now 18.45 & I've had no more bleeding. Really confused. Shud I poas again? :-s

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 03/07/2013 18:52

Yes you should. Good luck

WannaBMummaDee · 04/07/2013 06:28

Well poas no.2 was negative again :-( & then wen I got up & wiped I'd had another little bleed so I'm now pretty sure I'm not pregnant this month & my body was just playing a cruel trick on me. I'm approx 5days past my period due date! This is day 36 in what is usually a 31-32 day cycle & NOW I start to bleed. Feeling disappointed, dejected & letdown by my own body :,-(

kasareem · 04/07/2013 07:16

Hi Dee, sorry to hear that. I think a lot of us on here know that feeling and sympathise! It's so hard but try to focus on the positive (you get to start 'trying' again soon ;) !!). I know it feels like forever, but it will be your turn soon xx

Fairypants · 04/07/2013 07:47

I'm sorry to hear that dee, I was really hopeful for you. I was nearly a week late on my first month of trying so I get what a disappointment it is.
I hope you have a Wine and cosset yourself for a few days before gearing up for next time.
