Hi ladies

Sorry if this is just first time mum worryings but I'm not too sure what to do. I'm going to be 32 weeks on Monday and have had quite a tricky pregnancy so far. Today I'm experiencing period like crampy pains in my lower back, under my bump and in my legs. Is this yet another annoying pregnancy symptom? Or should I be worried and calling the midwife? My next appointment with her is two weeks on Monday. Should I hold off and mention it then?

Any advice very gratefully received!

G&L xx

Hi Gingerandlemon. I'm one day behind you at 31+4! I'd give the midwife a call. It may be nothing, just baby stretching things out but give her a call to double check. They don't mind you calling to check these things out in my experience. x

Thanks gingerbreadpixie. I might just do that. I just hate being one of those worrier types who constantly rings!
Exciting times for late August huh? :) xx

They'd rather you ring than sit and fret at home I reckon.

i know! Not long now. I'll actually be induced at 38-39 weeks (T1 diabetic) unless he has other ideas! Have you been on the August thread on Antenatal Clubs? Lots of chat about what to buy, pram recommendations etc. v. helpful.

xx

Ooh thanks I'll have a look :)

I rang the midwife and I'm glad I did. She talked me through all that it could mean and suggested I take some paracetamol and call her back in an hour. I already feel better than sitting and fretting! Xx
