Just wondering if anyone has any problems with their ears in pregnancy? Mine have been feeling blocked since week 24 and a ringing sound. Now feel like I have to pop them but one is worse than the other.
I know that ladies can get blocked nose so just checking if its usual pregnancy complaint or something to talk to the gp about?

I had this and also felt a pulse whenever I did anything remotely energetic (walking up the stairs at work). It's gone away again now but was a bit disturbing. If you're worried call your MW

Yes - my left ear keeps popping like I was on a plane! My mum said she had this with all her pregnancies.

yup, blocked ears and also blocked nose/sinuses in a morning. They're all connected by the same little tubes so not surprising that you'll get both playing up.

Blocked ears - see if you can treat yourself to an Ear Candling session by a trained person. Just make sure you tell them you are pregnant as some therapists will want to flip you onto your back at the end to do a bit of a facial massage.

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. I had a feeling that it might be pregnancy related as are most of the strange things happening to me at the moment.
It's in my left ear and its gradually getting worse.
Thanks for the heads up I had a go of some ear candles this evening from holland and Barrett. I think it might have helped a little bit so far but think it will take a while to take effect. Xx

Hi Nellysgirl

Have a look at these candles instead of the H&B ones - I used to use the H&B ones but switched to these early last year. The only thing with the Jill Frazer ones is that you will need a willing pair of hands to help you as they are a little bigger than the H&B ones - but they work so much better!

True that the ear candling does carry on working for a day or two after treatment, so see how you get on in the next few days.

Iv had a really bad headache for the past few days too - do you think they might be related? X
