I'm 7 weeks pregnant with no.3 and although I had morning sickness with the other 2 (being sick etc but managing to function, hold down a job etc), with this pregnancy the sickness is so much worse. It wasn't helped by a bout of gastroenteritis, but after 4 days of not eating, my Dr has prescribed promethazine tablets and today I have been able to eat again and have a chance of getting back to work.

But the tablets make me so tired. I don't know what's what anymore, as it could be the fact that my body just needs more food and tomorrow I'll feel less tired.

I'm starting feel down as I wanted another baby even though both my DC have additional needs and my husband would have been fine stopping at 2. I worry I've been selfish to want another child and that this is just the beginning of not being able to cope.

Did anyone find the tiredness on promethazine got better? Now I've eaten, will I begin to feel better tomorrow? Thanks in advance.

Promethazine is a sedative... I was prescribed it to help me sleep.

I'm taking promethazine. I don't find it that good, tbh, and it definitely makes me knackered. I don't know. It's hard to differentiate between the drowsiness from the medicine and the general exhaustion of early pregnancy.
