5 Weeks and in desperate need of advice/experience/kick up the backside!!

Ok, so a bit of background which may help (please feel free to skip if I waffle!)

I am 31 - DS1 is 10, DS2 is 9

Have had 5 m/c ranging from 5-9 weeks
1 ruptured ectopic, resulting in right tube being removed
1 blighted ovum, which dragged on for 3 weeks before it was decided to give a D&C.

As you can see, 2 beautiful boys aside, not much luck!

So - here is where I need advice and/or possibly experience to stop me going crazy (well no more than usual haha!)

My LMP was the 18th May, now I usually have a 36/36 day cycle, so I found it incredibly odd that I felt all signs of ovualtion on the 1/2 June. Within 2/3 days my breasts were sooooo sore - very unlike me, they usually don't start hurting until CD30+. So, on the 11th June I took an early test - I wasn't sure whether I could see a faint line (and I'm talking standing in natural light and squinting!!) so on the 12th I did another. This time it was faint but definintely there. I did several more and saw progression with each one.
On Sunday night I was in so much pain that I decided to go to the gynae unit on Monday to see what they said. So, @ 8am they took bloods. HCG came back @ 1591 at which point they agreed to scan me - the scan was done and a gestational sac was seen. Nothing in it, but measuring at 5w 2d. They also pointed out that they could see a corpus luteum (sp?). The consultant seemed fine that there was nothing else to be seen. Me on the other hand - totally freaked out. Not helped by googling images of 5w2d scans and seeing at least a yolk sac!
I had to go back today to have 48hr repeat bloods done. I have just had the results done and here is how the phonecall went:

Nurse: "Hi YellowRose, we have your bloods back and the result is 3232"

Me: "Ok, so what happens next?"

Nurse: Well, even though your levels haven't doubled, the Dr has asked that we carry on and repeat the scan in a week"

Me: "....Right, I'll wait for the letter"

So my questions/concerns - does anyone seems to think that 3232 is a low level considering I am now 5w4d??

Also, am I being incredibly thick but does 3232 mean that my previous level (1591) HAD doubled (albeit only just, but still....)???

I'm in no more pain than I have been, just 'normal' crampy sensation. I only had a smidge of brown on the 15th June (poss implantation). I just feel a bit deflated, and now am imagining worst case scenario.

Advice/experience/hand-holding/reassuring hugs/good ol' kick up the bum all gratefully accepted!!!!!

Thanks and congratulations if you did manage to read the epic story! :)

I think they look for levels to double every 24 or 48 hours (sorry can't remember which) however that is only a guide.

I also thought that only sacks were visible before 6 weeks - but hopefully an expert will be along soon to explain properly.

I'm no expert on this but the fact your levels have risen is a good sign surely?? Good luck to u xx
