False positive?

I am currently 11 dpo.

Yesterday I took a pregnancy test (10mIU/ml strip one - super sensitive). Initially, it came up negative but I when I went the bathroom 30 minutes later, I noticed that a very faint but pink line had appeared making it positive.

This morning I took another test hoping for it to be darker (same type of test) but it is stark white! I was working a night shift last night and only had 3/4 hours sleep when I got home. Is it possible there wasn't enough HCG in my urine when I got up or is it more likely that the pink line on my test yesterday was a evaporation line? I was under the impression that the pink dye tests didn't get them.

Bit confused right now!

I had the same thing last year wand was not pregnant. I really don't think you can trust tests by looking at them after that amount of time, even when pink dye isn't meant to do this.
After that experience I decided to move to digital tests to avoid over interpreting lines... I still had to take a photo to reassure myself when it eventually said 'pregnant' !

Mine was like this. It was an extremely faint positive 10 minutes later. I tested every day after until was positive within the time frame (took a bloody week) Grin

It has been hours now though and the test I took this morning hasn't got a positive line like yesterday...

Sounds like an evaporation line, sorry :(

This happened to me last week. It turned out to be a false positive as my period came bang on time at the weekend. I was convinced as well Sad

I'm convinced I'm pregnant as well :(

My boobs are so sore, I'm ridiculously hormonal and I've had cramping pains. Not of which I normally get even around AF.

I always thought evap lines were grey. You saw a pink line which doesn't sound like a classic evap line... Retest in a few days perhaps?

I had same thing, internet cheapie 10 miu and was in fact pregnant. In the time frame there was no line but faint pink over whole area.then later in the day a faint line. Went out and bought a first response and got a clear line. Try a different brand to be sure either way!

I would try a different type of test maybe a digital one as they are quite clear and can't be misread x
