Falling pregnant after a miscarriage and with an ovarian cyst...!

I miscarried 5 weeks ago, 7 weeks into my first pregnancy. Was discharged and advised that my next period would be between 2-6 weeks later. 2 days later I was calling the EPU as I had started bleeding heavily again and was scanned and told I was having a period! During the scan they spotted a 5cm cyst on my left ovary and referred me to see the Pelvic Mass Unit (still waiting for that appointment!!).
As I'd seen a period, my husband and I decided to go for it during my next ovulation days. Today is day 9 from the first day of that cycle and I'm spotting (period shouldn't be due for another 8 days).... Could I be pregnant?? I'm also concerned because of the cyst. Has anyone on here been pregnant with a cyst on their ovary?

sorry to hear about your miscarriage Sad

the only way you'll know of yourare pregnant is to poas. Good luck.

Do you know what type of cyst it is? If it was just a cyst from releasing an egg than that's fine, they tend to shrink.

I'm pregnant with an endometrial cyst. It is growing a little bit but I don't think it will present any problems. The fertility clinic was happy to try ivf with the cyst so it can't be that worrying. At each scan they'll be able to check on the cyst.

They said they were pretty sure it was a fluid filled and either a follicular cyst or a corpus luteum cyst probably caused by the hormones from my miscarriage...
Can a normal over the counter test read positive if under 2 weeks? Was going to wait a few more days before I take it to bring me over the 2 week point

Ah well in that case that should be fine. I had three of those in the scan before I got pregnant, and none at my 6 week scan.

Sorry, I didn't realise you were so early. The cheap poundland tests can sometimes pick up pregnancy early, but I suggest waiting of you can bear to.

I used a first response test they pick it up early and there pretty accurate x

I had a 5.9cm cyst on my overy when I fell pregnant with dd - if it was 6cm they would've removed it!

Not sure about the early tests working, but my pregnancy was fine and the cyst disappeared during the pregnancy.

Good luck!

Hiya, I've got a 5 cm dermoid cyst and a smaller simple cyst on my ovaries. One of mine goes all the way round the back of my uterus!
It was discovered during an early scan at the EPU after awful pains 2 days after discovering I was pregnant. I got pregnant on the pill so my cysts didnt stop me! The sonographer told me she sees cysts very often, and they're often not discovered until a woman has an ultrasound with a pregnancy. She said mine could have been there for years and I would only have known now because of the scan. They're monitoring it throughout my pregnancy. If it gets bigger they'll remove it in the second trimester.
Good luck xx Flowers
