Do I ride it out or get checked out?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

What did the consultant say re going into labour early?

drinkyourmilk · 25/06/2013 20:10

Get it checked out.

TiredyCustards · 25/06/2013 20:13

I only ask because I had an elcs booked but consultant told me I had to attempt vbac if I went into labour before. bastards

Actually, either way I'd call labour ward.

Jollyb · 25/06/2013 20:14

Contact your labour ward. They should get you in an perform the section sooner.

butterflyexperience · 25/06/2013 20:24

They will only bring forward if cervix change, bleeding or waters breaking

I'm 36+4 with twins

I would say get checked!
They say come when they are 3 mins apart normally anyway x

Jollyb · 25/06/2013 20:53

Definitely contact labour ward if twins. Are they happy for you to have a vaginal delivery? If not why would they let you go through 2 days of contractions before your section? I'm having an elective section and have been advised to contact labour ward if any sign of labour.

Ring labour ward. I started contractions 12 hours before my elcs. Was 6cms by the time they examined me and was given the option did I want to go ahead vbac or would they set things up for cs. I chose vbac but was happy that it was my decision to do so and they put the ball in my court.

butterflyexperience · 26/06/2013 02:30

Rang labour ward and spoke to sister who remembered me from the last time I went in and said that I'd been having pains like this for a while hadn't I.

She made me feel like I was being a pita so I didn't go in

They would only bring csection forward if my cervix was past 3 cm dilated

I have no idea if it is

Managed to sleep it off for a while

Will just try and cope till allotted csection date Confused

I would ring again myself if the contractions are still going. How are you supposed to know how far you are dilated?

LadyMetroland · 26/06/2013 04:22

Just ring them and say you're going in. Don't ask them, tell them. There's no harm in being checked.

Locketjuice · 26/06/2013 09:17

How are you OP

butterflyexperience · 26/06/2013 10:16

Ok
Contax seemed to have died down. Still taking codeine and paracetamol

Just so confusing at what I'm supposed to do

Feel like I don't get taken seriously as I'm not in active labour.
