Hi,

I am expecting my first baby and wondered what the current impressions were of my local hospitals..Epsom, St Helier...

Thanks for any help

Ooh hi Shrimp
I am watching and waiting. We are moving to Bookham next month and will have to choose a maternity hospital.

Hi, thanks, will check that out...

Oooh I'm at St Helier, but not the Epsom bit, the other bit... and they are absolutely FAB.

My local hospital is Croydon but they are in special measures so self-refered to St Helier and they say they get that alot.

I really can't sing their praises enough.

In fact - to add some detail, they offered me an early scan at 8 weeks without me having to ask because of my previous MMC (where I attended Croydon and am going to write to complain about my treatment at the EPU there).... all St Helier letters have been sent out on time, midwives are great - sonogropher was fantastic and so helpful and kind at the 12 week scan, and I'm gonig back in a couple of weeks for my 20 week scan- can't wait. Already have all my bloods for later on booked and free anti-natal classes booked too. :)

And.. not that I've seen it by the mw discribed the birthing centre which sounds great too.
