I'm 24 weeks today and I've put on 13 kilos since booking at 9 weeks.
I've got quite a lot of swelling/water retention, does this weight gain sound horrendous :(

to badger (I had been on October thread with u)

It's quite a lot to have gained but some people just naturally gain a lot when pregnant, even if they eat as normal it's just what their body does! As long as you are eating a healthy balanced diet you will be fine - and even if you're not, I know when I had DS I gained around 5 stone which is about 31 kg I think, and all was fine for us although it wasn't ideal afterwards trying to lose it :)

I've put on 9kg by 32 weeks, not sure if that;s good or bad tbh!

I'm on track to beat you badger Sad.

I've managed to gain 7kg from 5weeks until 12 weeks. It's pretty shocking and I'm now rationing sweets, no junk food and no empty calories from snacks. I have reached the weight I was full term with DD and I haven't even finished the first trimester!

I wouldn't worry too much, especially if you have signs of water retention. The time of day you were weighed can also make a difference of a kilo or two.

Definitely not the time for a diet, but eliminating empty calories from sweets and fatty snacks will help you limit further weight gain. I need a healthy eating buddy, maybe we can keep each other on track?
