Negative test but think I might be pregnant?

I'm on the pill and have had my periods as usual. Although the last couple have been lighter than normal. I took a pregnancy test but it was negative. The thing is I've got signs of pregnancy such as my breasts have grown and are sore, I've put on weight (looks a bit like a baby bump) and for the last couple of days I've had swollen ankles.

Could I actually be pregnant? Last time I had horrendous "morning" (all day) sickness but I feel fine at the moment. Or Should I just face the fact that I've hit middle age and can no longer eat anything I like?

I never got a positive test with dd. The hospital couldn't either and it was only confirmed with a scan.

How long have you been on the pill? It can cause some pregnancy type symptoms from what I've heard.

I was 8ish weeks before I got a positive test. I had some spotting then my periods stopped, 4 tests in 2 weeks after my period was due and they were all negative. I put it down to stress at work, went on holiday and drank like a fish. It was only after realising my holiday weight gain was getting a distinctive bump look to it that I tested again thinking I had an ovarian cyst (had one removed 18months ago) and wanting to rule out pregnancy. The 'cyst' is due in January!

Get yourself to the dr - it's unlikely that you are, but if you have started to show then you would be a significant way through a pregnancy (over 12 weeks at least). How long have you been on the pill? It can mimic some pregnancy symptoms. Personally when I fell pregnant on the pill, I knew as I didn't have my breakthrough bleed so I tested and got BFP.

I've been on the pill since October, but the before I had DS I was on it for over 10 years (the same one).
