Swollen ankles - a strange question

Please humour me. My ankles are swollen as you would expect at 37 weeks pregnant. But one ankle is significantly more swollen than the other ankle. My feet/toes aren't particularly swollen. I don't have any pain and it feels cool to the touch. I don't need to worry about anything like DVT, do I? I wouldn't be bothered about it but it is so swollen and so much more than the other ankle that it seems strange.

Also 37 weeks and swollen here. My right ankle is usually much worse than my left (although tonight everything, including my toes, is massive) and when I asked my GP cousin about it she pointed out that I'd sprained my right ankle quite badly a few years ago. She said any injury in the past can affect it. As such I haven't bothered getting it checked out officially.
Having said that, if you're worried, or have pain in one ankle and not the other, I'd certainly go and ask someone.

Hmmm, overall that advice wasn't very useful of me, was it. Sorry Blush

34 weeks and legs like tree trunks :-(. Also pain in calf. Have had two midwives look and they said symptoms of DVt are hardness, hotness and redness. Both said to return though if I was worried. One of them advised me to go to a swimming pool and that the water pressure would help reduce the swelling. Am currently trying to find a pool....
