Just got the faintest ever second line on a pregnancy test for the past 2 days (AF not due until Tuesday) but is that still a BFP? In the past I've only ever had a strong line, but how faint is still a positive???

A line is a line I think. Congratulations!

vix206 · 21/06/2013 08:47

As long as it has colour to it and isn't an evap line (they plagued me last cycle) then congratulations Grin

A line is a line. My lines were so faint DH told me I had imagined it. Twice. I'm now 4 days overdue. Congratulations!!!

roofio87 · 21/06/2013 10:27

oh rockchick that sounds very promising!! my first lines were very very faint! congrats x

Holly94 · 21/06/2013 10:30

Congratulations! A line is a line :D
I had very faint positives when I first tested as well. Think when you're early on your hormone levels are just very low still, but if they're showing up (however faintly) on a test, you have hormones in your wee which means one thing.. You're pregnant! :D

rockchick mine was so faint I had to squint to see it! A line is DEF a line! This is good news!

chillisbopper · 21/06/2013 16:43

I agree, a line is a line no matter how faint Flowers. I tested the first day i was due my period (at about 6pm so i knew it wasn't just like time of day) and the line was so faint i had to ask DH if it was in my head or not Grin not quite the romantic "we're going to be parents" moment i'd envisioned! Haha. Anyway until the 12 week scan I was so worried that we might be wrong i kept doing more and more tests and as the days passed those lines got much darker and the tests took less and less time to give an answer! Now 17 weeks :)

Chickpea1983 · 21/06/2013 16:46

I was the same, had a very faint line for the first 2 tests, so I made my DH get me another test while he was at the shop buying my Pregnacare Grin. That one came out much darker, and now I am 17+4

sunflowered · 21/06/2013 17:50

A line was a line for me followed by another 6 to double check but DH did spoil the moment a bit when he screwed up his face and asked "is that it?"

Rockchick1984 · 21/06/2013 18:14

Thankyou all! Think I'll test again in a couple of days but hopefully it's a BFP for me :)

Ha I had to the same squinting looks with us both tilted our heads and wondering. Not the 'wow' moment you picture like chilli said. I did 2 and they were both very faint. I went straight to tesco and bought 2 digital ones just to be sure!

Mamabear12 · 22/06/2013 07:24

I did three tests one day before my p was due. Two were sainsburys cheapos, which had the faintest line. When the positive appeared slowly, i thought, am I imagining this??!?!?!? Esp bc we had only just began trying (once!). I did a clear blue and negative...but after doing research I concluded clear blue does not pick up as early as the cheapos. I sent my husband a photo of the faint positive and he told me, that it def was not a positive and it was in my head, just that the photo made it look more positive.

Welll well well, of course mama knows best, as I am 22 weeks and expecting my baby boy in oct :)
