good god people, she asked for an opinion on spelling, not for you to attack the name altogether. if you don't want to answer the question she asked then don't bother posting!

i like charlie as a shortening in fact went to uni with a charlotte who called herself charlie.

i'm not keen on shortened names as THE name ifswim

I have nothing against the Ys, just think it is too much having two ie Charley Jayne.

Charlie Jayne or Charley Jane look fine tho

BTW she DID ask for an opinion, look at the 4th post worrying about if it is chav.

I think to spell it "Charlie" is cuter. I really like that. Mind you, I think Charlote Jayne is gorgeous but, I know, you didn't ask that! Grin

The real chav spelling would be Charlee,Charlea,Charleigh or even Charleeee.

Report
jangly · 31/05/2006 14:20

Charlotte with 2 l's even!

Report
SSSandy · 31/05/2006 14:21

i DO NOT agree that shortened names are bad for those in authority etc

my name is a shortened version of another name and i love it

dont like the proper non-shortened version, and neither did my parents
