Hi
This is the first time I've posted. I'm only 7.3 weeks pregnant. I've been suffering with severe nausea and sickness since week 4.
I was hospitalised last Saturday due to severe dehydration and needed IV fluids.
I'm really struggling with 24/7 nausea and dizziness. I've been stuck in bed since the beginning as I also suffer from ME/CFS so I literally feel like in dying.
I have been prescribed cyclizine, metoclopramide and promethazine but these have all done nothing to help. I have proclperazine here also but have not tried it yet. I'm really concerned as its still really early on and I've taken so much medication.
I really want to give the procloperazine a try incase it's my miracle drug but scared to take another incase I'm hurting my baby.
Has anybody else found procloperazine effective? I'm literally wasting away in bed and would love to get up but can't due to constant dizziness and waves of sickness.

Yes, prochlorperazine (Stemetil) helped me a bit. You are unlikely to harm your baby by taking medication. If you find it difficult to swallow, ask for Buccastem, it dissolves between your gum and your lip.

There's a HG support thread on Mumsnet. Also look up the Pregnancy Sickness Support charity - they have a very informative website and a network of supporters. They've really grown in the last couple of years and seem to be doing excellent work.

I know how hard things are for you and hope it gets better soon. If it doesn't, keep going back to your GP.
