Can't decide whether I should be considering this. Weekend away to visit a friend with my sister. Would be 7hr drive each way. I would have to do the driving as my sister doesn't drive and train/plane isn't n option. At 24 weeks is this going o be too much and too uncomfortable? Did the same journey last week and it was fine but only 15 weeks and know things will change a lot in 9 weeks.

Should I go or cancel?

Hmm... Depends on how you're feeling, really. I'm 24 weeks currently and after weeks of feeling great, I'm now getting a little more tired again in the evenings and feeling a bit lightheaded if I don't eat regularly etc. Perhaps you should see what your MW thinks at your 16-week appointment?
Seven hours of driving would be intense even when not pregnant.

I did 12 hr round trip at 23 weeks - well it should have been 12 hours but took a whole lot longer with all my loo / stretching breaks. It's hard to say how you will be feeling but I would say you should be fine as long as you factor in extra time for stops. I ended up sleeping for 3 hours on way home which helped!

Like bree says 7 hours driving is a long way for anyone. I drove 4 hours for a one hour meeting yesterday then 4 hours home and am 23 weeks. It was fine, I was pretty tired when I got home, though no more so than I would be before pg. would it be possible to maybe drive 3 hours an get a train part way at all? Or could your friend come to you? If not, make sure you take plenty of breaks and your sister knows not to moan if it takes you 9 or 10 hours instead.
