Can stressful job cause pain?

Just after opinions really. I ended up in EPU twice before 16 weeks due to really strong pains however haven't felt them for a good few weeks. Looking back that was a very stressful time at work and funnily enough having been off for a week I returned yesterday to lots of problems and today am starting to feel the twinges again.
I presume it's just coincidence but wondered if anyone had experienced similar?

Hi,

Not too sure whether it would be stress itself causing the problem but could be related to work. What is your job? What does it involve?

I'm a teacher doing a lot of outreach so on my feet a lot and driving around a lot getting things in/out of my car and I know if it's particularly busy I suffer more with my pelvis. If it could be something like this are your work able to make any further adjustments to help you?

Hope you get sorted soon! x

Ahh thank you, I don't envy you being up and down all day! My job is desk based - I do have an hour drive each way and am occaisonally out and about at meetings but is definitely more of a mentally stressful position than physical with lots of responsibility so I think it could just be coincidence... Hope your pelvis doesn't give you too much hassle!

Corny as it sounds I think you've got to 'listen to your body'...if your instincts are telling you that the job is overstressing you when you're sensitive, the pains might be your body's way of letting you know that?
