35+2 and ipast few days ive been getting more and more pain plus pressure. Today ive started leaking but it can't be urine as ive been to the loo 3 times to empty bladder and im forcing it out.
Sisters waters went like this. Is it possible that its my waters going slowly as ita tiny amounts but definitely not urine and have been crampy.

This is 2nd pregnancy. Ds1 is 2 and half

I thought my waters had gone because it was like this. Midwife checked and they hadn't, she said that if they had gone, even as a trickle, it would more than soak a pad. She recommended putting a clean pad on, laying down for 20 mins or so and then sitting up, the water will then gush out. Obv if you are concerned, ring your midwife. Hth

My waters did go like this though, so I would get yourself checked out.

I was up and down to the loo every half hour for about 2 hours from 4am, and never had any sort of a gush (wet panty liners/pads but not through to knickers)

Mine went like that. Lots of tiny drips from week 35. Nothing to soak a pad though.

The labour ward said to pop up (I was week 36 by then) and they did an internal. Each time I coughed they said little drips of fluid leaking out of my cervix, they hadn't believed me until then and were a bit sniffy about me being up there.

So the plan was for me to attend every other day for quick monitoring to make sure there was no sign of infection and if nothing happened within 10 days I would be induced. I had an actupuncture session a few days later, and hey presto DS was whipped out by EMCS 12hrs later.

Speak to your midwife. It can happen like your describing.

Isitme1 · 17/06/2013 18:43

Its not soaking a pad but I dont think its urine as ive tried very hard to keep bladder empty and yet its still coming out literally drops kind of like meglet.

Ive got to go for bloods on Wednesday if nothing has kicked off by then will get checked (ds1 has sn so dont want to leave him unnecessarily)
If I get more pain or feel more crampy I will go.

I wouldn't wait until wed, if I were you I would phone, they will talk it through with you. Doesn't necessarily mean going in before weds but at least they will be able to tell you if they are concerned about the amount of fluid etc.

Isitme1 · 17/06/2013 20:35

Its a lil darker than before which confused me a lil but its not blood.
Will see how im going through the night

Dont wait yill tomorrow. Give them a call now. This happened me, it was my waters snd a quick test proved it in an instant. Baby was out 3 hours later...very exciting. Good luck!

Isitme1 · 17/06/2013 21:04

This slow? It does seem like its literally tiny bits x

Sorry for hijack but just wondering how do you tell the difference between leaking fluid and discharge. I've been having lots of discharge and it's leaving my knickers slightly wet but never thought this could be my waters.

HappyHugs · 17/06/2013 21:20

Smell it (sorry!) If its your waters there will be no smell. Combined with the niggly pains/cramps I'd call them. They take calks like this all the time so it wont be an issue for them.

Fairy130389 · 17/06/2013 21:22

From experience I would have thought it unlikely to be waters but I am nit a midwife and some people can lose them like this I think. Just call them and they can talk you through how to tell the difference. Better safe than sorry x

If its gone darker I'd go in. Could it be meconium in the waters?

Went in last night.
They did an internal and they could see some free fluid but couldn't confirm it was waters and neck of womb still back and all that so they were happy to swab and wait for results which should be back in 48 hours. If it shows it was waters then they will ring.
Baby isnt engaged. Baby is 'very free' so they think as ive got kidney problems its from irritation from my kidneys Hmm even though its not wee it is a clear fluid.

I'm glad you went in. Have read my posts back and I sound a bit blasé - was panicking that I would lull you into thinking it was fine and then something would have happened! hope all is ok with the results.

Isitme1 · 19/06/2013 17:54

Thanks.
I was coming round to the idea of having dc2 lol but the thought scared me after having a bad time 1st time round.
Got a bit longer to get my head round it all I suppose
