At 29 weeks I'm feeling just awful, so bunged and blown up. Getting me down. My cycle seems to be that i will have a big bowel movement then feel great, but nothing then for 3-4 days, like I just stop digesting food. Before pregnancy I was regular. I just hate this feeling. On day 3 now, not enjoying one but of food, kinda avoiding it, horrific heartburn and disgusting wind. Someone please help!!

I'm using these from H&B. They don't need to be refrigerated, which is good, but you need to make sure you don't eat/drink anything hot with them. There are lots stronger ones on the market, but I wasn't sure on the optimal dose during pregnancy so sticking with these (also that makes them a bit cheaper!).

I really sympathise. I was exactly the same and it's miserable. My doctor recommended olive oil and lemon in warm water each morning: it didn't make much difference to me, but you never know. What did make the difference was starting iron tablets, which is totally opposite to the expected effect. I'm obviously just a freak.

Other solutions I tried included kiwi each morning followed by hot black tea (some success), movicol (hopeless), probiotics (some help).

Try eating a kiwi fruit or two daily.
