I know you can lose your plug way before labour starts but with me been overdue are the chances of natural labour now higher than not. How long after your plug was labour?

I went into labour about a day and a half after losing my plug. It was the night before I was meant to be induced! Hopefully the same will happen for you. Good luck! Smile

Started same day Wink any news?

FoofFighter · 16/06/2013 21:33

Lost it the Tuesday morning, had DC1 the Thursday evening :)

I think it depends if it was bloody or not.. (Or I could be talking rubbish). I think if there is a bloody show with it its likely to be in the next day or so. So hope for you it means things are starting to happen!

Lauraandlailah · 17/06/2013 03:32

Hi guys, just been to the toilet and when I wiped there was a little blood on the tissue is this the bloody show part of my mucous plug? Don't want to get my hopes up too much but would love to not be induced x

I'd say very likely. but for the record you don't have to get induced at all. I went 16 days over due, some of them just really get comfy in there

Littlemissexpecting · 17/06/2013 06:23

I started to lose mine on Tuesday night.
Lost loads of it on wed and same thurs. both very bloody. told mw who said it can keep forming.
Everyday since losing more and more and still not in labour.... Sorry!

ohforfoxsake · 17/06/2013 06:45

If you don't want to be induced you don't have to be. Speak to the MW.

I was reluctant to be induced as was having a HB but had to be booked in for an induction at 42 + 2 because I was dilating very slowly over a long time. Thankfully she came at 42.

Hopefully you'll be on your way before then. Good luck Smile

HullMum · 17/06/2013 13:50

Ahem, any news?

Lauraandlailah · 17/06/2013 14:00

Phoned the midwife she says it all sounds like the start of labour as long as there isn't excessive amounts of blood but can still take upto 48hours to start. As for been induced I was overweight when I fell pregnant so they don't want me to go over 42weeks which ill be on Friday x hopefully she will turn up sooner rather than later ill keep you posted if she turns up soon thank you for all your feed back x
