Hi there,
I am looking for a reflexologist in West London (ideally Chiswick, Hammersmith, Notting Hill etc) who is good at helping to start labour...am 40 weeks now and getting impatient for things to start! Any recommendations gratefully received...
Also, does it really work?!
Thank you very much

No, it doesn't! Save your £ for a lovely curry meal out with sex for afters, that works!

Can't say whether reflexology actually works or not although I'm convinced that acupuncture worked for me in both bringing on labour and lowering my blood pressure even if it was on a psychological rather than physical basis. However it was the hospital that made the appointment for me so I'm inclined to believe them. Grin

If it makes you feel that you are doing something proactive and you can afford it then go for it. I don't know any reflexologists but if Kew isn't too far away have a look at Earth Life on Kew Green - they offer lots of complementary therapies.

Good luck!

Oh I would like to know too. I have heard good things about moxa and accupressure but I don't know any places that are recommended..

Are you giving birth at C&W?

Don't know if Reflexology helps bring on the little one's arrival, but blooming heck it's a lovely relaxing treat..... :D

(So speaking after just receiving a reflexology treatment and am now floating nicely......!!)

(36w here though, so not keen just yet for LO to arrive!!)

Acupressure can be v effective though (much used in China at this time)
