Newborn- 0-1 difference

My dd was only 6lb 7, and even newborn was too big, she was in early baby and tiny baby for a few weeks then fitted in newborn for about 3 months. So I do think its worth me getting newborn sizes and not skipping.

Just sorted all the newborn clothes I've got and they are mostly 0-1 months. H&M, Polarn o Pyret and a couple of packs of sleepsuits from Tesco are all 0-1 not newborn. This is the smallest size some do, so thought it was equivalent of newborn but now I'm wondering if I need newborn too? Is there much difference?

This size didn't really exist with dd in most places, not tesco anyway, so I'm not sure.

Look at the weight range on the label rather than just the size, that should give you and idea of the size if baby they'll fit.

My DS was 9lb1oz and went straight into 0-3months luckily as I didn't realise at the time there were smaller sizes.

Up to one month is the same as newborn sizes in other shops.

There's also 'first size' in some shops which fits somewhere in the middle! I bought only 0-3 months thinking I'd have a big baby and she was 5lb 4oz! So I sent my sister to Tesco and she bought newborn stuff. It's not the end of the world! :)

I found this so confusing! The terms and the weights are not consistent. My baby is predicted to be large too (currently off the centile scales) but lucky for me a friend gave me a huge bag of mixed new born/first size/one month clothes. Does mean that babs wont have a 'special' coming home outfit but I'm sure he will survive!

That's what I thought noblegiraffe I know it's newborn for h&m, and when I ordered the tesco sleepsuits online, 0-1 was the smallest option. I've since realised they werejust out of stock of the smaller sizes and they also do tiny baby and newborn too. Gah! Label says 10lb but I know the labels are a load of tosh.

I fancy some white terry sleepsuits because they are super cute, so I'll try and find a pack of them in tiny or newborn and the rest can be rolled up I think. I think this baby is going to be bigger so not so much of an issue perhaps. I'm way over analysing all this I know.
