Implantation Bleeding or Early Miscarriage?

Hello

I am brand new to mumsnet and this TTC lark and hope some of you can share your experiences with me. My period was not due until this Wednesday but on Saturday I started bleeding. This blood started off brown and light. I am still bleeding and it has increased in flow and gone red. I haven't really had any cramps with it and it has looked like a light period. Originally I thought it was implantation bleeding and I have done 2 pregnancy tests and both have been positive. What I am trying to work out is whether I am still pregnant. I cannot say that I feel pregnant - breasts dont feel sore, not feeling sick etc - but then again if I am pregnant then it is only 3/4 weeks.

I went to the GP and they were not very helpful; just told me to do another test in 1 week.

Has anyone experienced what I am describing and if so, what was it in your case?

Fingers crossed, Carly

Unfortunately there's nothing the GP can do either way at this stage, a scan wouldn't show anything and most EPU's won't see you before 5-6 weeks. I've not experienced the bleeding myself, however have a google of chemical pregnancies and implantation bleeding - you can get excellent descriptions of what they are like and see if either sound like what you are going through. There's no way of knowing for certain at this stage though. Sorry you're going through this Thanks

try to stay positive!
i had exactly the same thing and though i'm not out of the woods yet (almost 10 weeks), we had an early scan at 8 weeks and everything was good.
mine lasted a good 10 days or so, was very light. always heavier in the morning tho. stopped and started before stopping.
unfortunately there's nothing you can really do except monitor it.
very best of luck!!

Hello

I've now been bleeding for 2 weeks now though its got abit lighter in the last few days.

I am in the process of getting blood tests done. Today when I had my second test the nurse referred to the results of my first test and said my levels were still quite high and mentioned something about average being 39 - 49 over something or other. Got to get a doctors appointment as the nurse didn't know what this meant.

Does this mean anything to anyone?

Thanks.

Just realised I meant to say "quite high considering that they are thinking I have possibly miscarried very early on" and if still pregnant I would b 5 weeks.
