Urgh. I hate Stilton, but you're fine, and the packaging is just so they can't be sued, like on the back of basically everything says 'may contain traces of nuts'
Enjoy your stinky cheese Grin xx

I don't know about there not being a case of listeria for years ElBombero, my dad had it a couple of years ago! Mind you, he's got a terrible immune system and it was a very mouldy bit of goat's cheese. It hasn't stopped me accidentally shoving soft cheeses down my neck on numerous occasions though... Wink

Some stats ^^ for those that like them :)

EXTREMELY low risk really IMHO - only 1000 cases of pregnancy related listeria between 1983 and 2011 in England/Wales. That's a minute % really but still obviously a risk worth knowing about.

Interesting that pre 1990 a high % of all cases were PG and since then it's been much lower. I wonder if that's when the guidelines for mums-to-be changed?
Overall it's very low so I might be less precious for the next 7 weeks :-) thanks again Foof

No idea but Stilton is definitely safe according to our Govt so enjoy!
