Whooping cough vaccine

Do I request via Dr or midwife?
I stupidly forgot to ask the midwife last Monday about it and I'm 29 weeks this coming Thursday. I'm not seeing her again for another 3 weeks.
Shall I just ring the Dr surgery? I tried texting my midwife, but she hasn't responded (she is always on leave though). Didn't really want to bother the 'on call' midwife.

I rang my Doctors surgery. My midwife didnt seem too concerned whether I had the WC vaccine or not. Am on antibiotics at the moment so am waiting to finish the course before I have my WC vaccine.

Just ring the surgery, it's the nurse that does it anyway :) x

Getting mine done next week at my GP surgery by the nurse. Bit nervous as I've heard the baby's movements slow down a bit but nothing like a healthy, immunised baby. Good luck!

Ring your GP - I'm having mine in the morning. My MW was also quite blase about it, and I'm amazed at the lack of information given out about it. It was literally just mentioned in passing.

Yep it's your GP you need to ring.

Don't worry about the baby slowing down, mine didn't. There were no side effects for me other than a lumpy itchy skin reaction where the needle went it.

After having flu and a nasty chest infection a month ago, where I was having difficulty breathing, I definitely want the jab! I would hate to think of a newborn baby with such a nasty cough. Thanks all for posting
