I have my sexing scan this afternoon (it has taken me a month to convince DH to go for this scan)
But now that I have it all booked and its today I am so excited to find out what we are having.
I have had a feeling since the beginning that I am having a girl but over the last few weeks whenever I talk about the baby I keep saying 'He'. But I don't know if that is because all my pregnant friends are having boys.
Anyway I just wondered if any of u had had a feeling of what the sex would be and whether you were right or not?? Xxx

Ohhhh exciting stuff! I was certain from the moment I found out I was expecting that I would have a girl and I was right - I just 'knew'.

Fakebook · 10/06/2013 10:27

I knew I was having a girl from when I conceived with dd. With DS I was unsure and didnt "feel" anything. Same this time, I really have no voice in my mind telling me what the baby is! Good luck!

lilstar · 10/06/2013 10:28

With my DD I knew from as soon as I found out I was pregnant I was having a girl. My DP used to talk to my bump..."is that you kicing away in there wee man?" lol...I'd correct him and tell him it wasa girl. We never got a sexing scan and in the end I was right. I'm not getting a sexing scan with this pregnancy either but I have a feeling it's a boy...Will be interesting to see if I'm right.

My mum had 4 kids, each time she only had the correct name icked out for the sex the baby turned out to be. She thinks you just have a feeling too...and she also thinks I'm having a oy this time.

Time will tell! Will be interested to see your post after th scan!

Fairydogmother · 10/06/2013 10:31

before i got pregnant i was sure that i only really wanted a girl and was worried about finding out it was a boy!

but after a few weeks i started to find myself referring to 'he' the odd time and it was just as well as it is a he! now i'm just impatient to have my wee boy here lol

good luck today! just be aware that sometimes the babys position means they cant tell you and you may have to go back. that nearly happened to me! def eat something sugary about 30 mins before you go as that helps to encourage baby to move out of any awkward positions

MrsMagpieCovetsShinyThings · 10/06/2013 10:31

I kind of wanted a boy but everytime I thought of the baby I thought 'she' and she was a she!

good luck this afternoon, its so exciting.

EagleRiderDirk · 10/06/2013 10:42

I knew I was pregnant with a boy and then a girl. I had a girl and then a boy. Obviously my instincts suck!

Branleuse · 10/06/2013 10:46

first two times I thought it was a girl but they were boys. third time I had no idea but thought it was probably another boy but it was a girl.

RJM17 · 10/06/2013 11:27

Oooh so it is a complete guessing game then as some have been right and others not. I am just so excited to find out if its blue or pink!! Then I can go shopping as well which I haven't done yet as I wanted to know before I started buying things. X

Well my DH and me have been right from the beginning referred to he.. At our 20 week scan they told us it is a boy..

I'm 27 weeks now. Can't wait to meet my little boy..

Let us know after your scan what you are getting. (If the baby is co-operative)

Gooseysgirl · 10/06/2013 11:36

With our DD both myself and DH were convinced it was a girl from the start Grin This time round DH thinks it's a boy but I think it's a girl... we will know in 5 weeks if baby cooperates at anomaly scan!

Shellywelly1973 · 10/06/2013 11:36

I've got 5dc & was only wrong once. Pregnant now, i would love a girl as my youngest girl is 12 but i think its a boy.

Let us know how you get on. Good luck!

kd83 · 10/06/2013 11:41

I've just had my second scan at 22 weeks and found out. I just had the strongest feeling it was a boy and was right.

lurcherlover · 10/06/2013 11:43

I have a DS and dd and knew what they were both times. It was just a very very strong instinct. I'm rubbish at guessing other people's babies but it seems I know with my own! We're not planning on dc3 but if we did I feel sure it would be a boy. Sadly I won't be testing this theory but it would be interesting to see if I'm right!

RJM17 · 10/06/2013 11:48

I have guessed with all my friends after looking at their first scans as I have been reading about the nub theory and I have been right each time. But it will be just my luck that I get it wrong with my own baby haha x

mummynatty · 10/06/2013 17:29

Congrats :) now you can enjoy shopping for those little dresses :D

I'm hoping for a girl this time :) as dc1 was a boy, but wanted a boy first so he can look after is little sister so hoping and praying its a healthy baby girl this time :)

Wishfulmakeupping · 10/06/2013 17:34

Yey congrats :)

lilstar · 10/06/2013 17:38

Congratulations! Baby girls are fab! lol Smile

Fakebook · 10/06/2013 17:42

Congratulations :) I never found out Dd's sex when pregnant with her as she was always in a weird position but bought a whole load of little dresses because I just knew!

I'm always thankful I had a girl first because of various reasons but mostly because I could enjoy all the girly dresses and matching shoes quickly rather than later!

IBelieveInPink · 10/06/2013 18:51

Congratulations! I am also sure I am having a girl, will find out in 11 sleeps!
Will be interesting... Instinct seems to be correct a lot of the time!

RJM17 · 10/06/2013 18:58

Thanks everyone. I'm sooo pleased. My little princess is going to be spoilt rotten x

Franykins · 11/06/2013 11:26

Congratulations RJM17

We're finding out what our twins are in 12 sleeps Smile can't wait. I'm hoping for at least one girl as DP has 2 sons fro previous relationship that we have week on week off so another girl in the house to back me up would be good haha. However, I do keep telling myself its boys seen as that's what DP seems to produce Wink
