wooden mobile?

I have been buying most baby stuff online. I'm on a budget, and it seems to be cheaper.

However, I'd like to buy one nice thing for the baby that I can actually feel and touch before it arrives in a cardboard box!

I'd like to buy an old fashioned wooden mobile to hang over the crib, but can't find any in any shops - I live in London. Does anyone know of any nice mobiles, and what kinds of shops might sell them?

There always seem to be few at summer fairs. The one at Wimbledon Common always has good stuff.

Maybe somewhere like Spitalfields or Borough Market.

Where in London? There are several good independent baby shops/toy shops that have them.

Not a real shop, but online Etsy has really nice ones.

A lovely website for wooden toys of all ages is Play Merrily www.playmerrilytoys.co.uk/

Thanks! I'm in central London - so can get anywhere easily. Have trawled Covent Garden and Spitalfields but can't find anything. Perhaps the internet is the answer after all!

In N London I know of several posh baby/toy shops on Stoke Newington Church St, several in Crouch End, several in Hampstead.... Basically anywhere fairly posh with lots of babies!
