Underwired bra in pregnancy?

I read your not suppose to wear them if your planning on breastfeeding as it can effect the ducks. Well I've been wearing maternity ones because I find them much more comfortable anyway but I have a maxi dress, so I've bought a strapless under wired bra to wear with it so will I be ok wearing it if its just for the odd day (when I'm wearing the dress)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

They're absolutely fine, but do need to fit really well.

Don't wear one that doesn't fit, even for an odd day.

I gave up on wires as soon as I outgrew my pre-PG ones, as I couldn't afford to keep replacing them as I changed shape. But if you can, or you decide you'd like one even if it lasts only a few summery weeks, there's no reason. It too.

Thanks it fits well, I'm well supported. I've only wore it once and by the end of a very long day the wired started digging in a little so I took it off and left them to hang haha. But I've told oh (were going out today) that if its starts to hurt, its comming off!!!

I'm 31 weeks and have been wearing under wired the whole time - hope I'm not causing myself any probs! I bought two new bras in a larger size to fit my massive pg boobs and have been alternating them. Can't quite face letting it all hang out yet, but will get myself a non-wired nursing bra I think.

Honestly, maternity clothes have been a nightmare!

As long as they fit properly (see the Bra intervention threads in S&B) once they don't fit invest in a soft cup feeding bra the covers a variety of sizes.

I had this one from around six months pg right through feeding. And I still wear it now sometimes because its so comfy. Obviously that one is for the
Larger of nork, but they do different sizes.

For strapless could y get one of those bandeau type things? I have yet to find a comfortable strapless bra that supports and fits well.

they are absolutely fine both during pregnancy and also breastfeeding. Soft ones just won't offer the same support and this is the time you need it most.

I wore underwired bras throughout three pregnancies and breastfed each time.

But I have a fairly modest chest and it didn't get too much bigger (until I'd given birth, and then....boof!).

Thanks, well I say its strapless its can either be strapless or has see through straps so I wore the straps for more support. We only went to the cinema so as it was pitch black in there I took it off hahaha! Went around the shops for half an hour or so and it started to dig in a bit so I took it off, it left a bit of a mark so I'm going to try and look for something better!
