Mayonnaise

I know you're meant to avoid homemade mayonnaise but can I eat Marks and Spencer's tuna mayonnaise deli filler? It says it has pasteurised eggs in it but it does have egg yolk. Just realised I have been eating Helman's mayonaise and that also has egg yolk in it. Should I be staying away from that too?

As far as I know they are all pasteurised, jared mayonaise and pre made samdwiches , so I ate them all, and I also was told that lion stamped eggs are from chickens that are immunised against salmonella so you are okay to eat them raw. I have no evidence to back this up, but did eat cake mix and runny eggs while pregnant.

It's pasteurised so it's fine, yolk and all.

All processed Mayo is fine (Hellmans, nandos, in supermarket sandwiches etc) it's only made from scratch ones tha need to be avoided.

I was so paranoid about mayo during my first pregnancy, but this time round I'm eating loads (and custard) so you should be fine. It's all pasteurised unless you go to a deli or restaurant where they make their own.

If you're in the UK raw eggs are safe because the hens have been innoculated against salmonella.

Absolutely fine - don't worry! I remember what I feels like to worry about every little thing...

Enjoy your pregnancy and good luck!
