Good friend due on 21st, had her show this morning. I can't remember the drill as dd is now 2, but any idea of timescales before labour?

Could it still be weeks or is it fairly imminent?

With DD I had a show, went into labour within hours and she was born the next morning.

In my case I had a show at 7.30 am and my waters went at 2 pm. DD was born at 8pm.

I can't quite remember, but I think it was about 5 days for me.

I started contracting about 24 hours later.

I had a show and still went more than two weeks overdue...

It is a sign your body is getting ready but not much of an indicator that you are about to go into labour.

It usually would depend if it was the full bloody show thats normally a good sign when that all comes away. But if it was just the mucus plug or some of it, its not always an indication to imminent labour, just means changes are happening. I was loosing mine in bits for 10wks Before ds2 was born, the actual bloody show though was during labour. And currently 31wks with ds3 been loosing mucus plug in bits now and again for a while now. Everyones different really xx

I had a show at 35 weeks with Dd but baby didn't arrive for another 2 weeks.

With Ds had a show at 12.30pm. He arrived at 7.13pm that evening.

Well it was a bloody show apparently, and she has just to say she is in bed with discomfort in that area, so that sounds positive! Smile
