TMI- white discharge an early sign of miscarriage?

Hi

Over the last couple of days all my symptoms have gone and I just don't feel pregnant anymore. I'm also having thick white/ cream discharge only since my symptoms went. I had a miscarriage last year at the same stage and knew it had happened before it actually did if you know what I mean. I just felt it.

I've not had any bleeding or bad cramps so I don't know if I should go to epu/ a&e but I just know. I'm 7w. Any experience of this please?

Thanks

Hi,

I remember getting distinctly damp knickers for weeks during a healthy pregnancy. Remember that there is an increased blood supply to the area and that can make your bits and produce extra discharge. Also, you are more likely to get thrush.

Hope you are ok, can you ring your midwife for a check?

It's very common at this stage of pregnancy, I assumed it was due to manufacture of the mucous plug at the cervix. Come to think of it, it continued throughout both pregnancies for me. I also had 2 miscarriages so empathise with the worry you must be feeling. Hang in there, no reason to call EPu for this unless it smells bad, in which case it might be an infection for which you need antibiotics.

Hoping all goes well for you in this pregnancy.

Thank you both. It's all so worrying but I don't suppose there is anything I can do on the weekend anyway.

Sounds like leukorrhea, which is perfectly normal in early pregnancy. I think you're fine.

Hi, sorry you're worried. My symptoms came and went with dd3 and it really upset me. Some days I'd feel so sick and tired and the next day I'd be fine, sometimes for three or four days at a time - from about 5 to 12 weeks. I used to convince myself this was it and I was about to have a MC. Then symptoms would return and I'd feel so happy to feel sick!

My MW told me it's normal. I think as your hcg levels rise - they rise then plateau for a bit then rise again and your body gets 'used' to the new level for a few days and the symptoms abate. Hope that makes sense.

puss I thought that was watery discharge though? Mines quite thick (sorry for tmi)

Hi I was given Progestorone pessary to increase the white discharge and was told it was needed and normal in pregnancy. I had more in all my healthy pregnancies. I would always contact the EPU for advice if you are worried. Mine have been really supportive. Also my symptoms have come and gone over the days / weeks but can understand why you are worried.

Pusspuss1 · 08/06/2013 08:13

Hmmm - mine's more milky/creamy and has been throughout (TMI, obviously!). Fingers crossed - best to see your doctor tomorrow if you're worried, though.

embaker112 · 08/06/2013 09:18

Please don't worry. I've had that for every day of my healthy, so far 14 week pregnancy!

chryssa · 08/06/2013 11:39

try not to worry! I know it is easier said but done... is it possible to see your doctor tomorrow? just for reassurance?

TeaAndANatter · 08/06/2013 12:00

I remember being very wet and creamy (sorry of TMI) throughout weeks 1 - about 18 or so of my last two. Can't really remember after wk 18, I think I stopped worrying by about then in both (or more likely I worried my head off, but I've edited that part out!).

Good luck!

Alexandra6 · 08/06/2013 13:03

I hope it's ok as I have it! Thick, white and creamy usually, now and again it's more watery but mainly thick (sorry tmi!!) So hopefully ok and just normal during pregnancy, I'm 15 weeks Smile

So I was told yesterday that I having a miscarriage..
I am a diabetic and have PCOS, I was told by a third member party that I was 6w 6d on the first ultrasound 113 heartbeat , actual doctors said differently and the heartbeat was 134 ( I would be 10 weeks 5 days) but I returned to the third member ( charity , free ultrasound by people in training ) and she said " no growth or heart beat " even with the Doppler

I don't think so.
