Amuse me, what were your first pregnancy symptoms and how soon did you experience them?

DH and I accidentally-on-purpose had unprotected sex on the day I estimated I was ovulating (based on dates, supported by signs). We're not TTC yet but got carried away with chatter of how great it'll be to complete our family :o

I can't test for at least another five days but I'm peeing loads and I've got a superhuman sense of smell, I'm also tired and have tingly nips.

Could be PMT, could be the start of a bug, could be the start of something else :)

With DC1 I didn't know until I got a positive test and had virtually no symptoms until around week 6 or 7. With DC2 I knew almost right away that I was pregnant, a week after conception my diary entry reads "think I'm pregnant?" and I had nausea and other signs by week two, didn't get a positive test until week four.

What were your earliest signs and how soon did you experience them?

Exciting! My symptoms were fatigue, a funny taste in my mouth, and an overwhelming desire to smoke!

(Ps I didn't smoke ...)

Mine was needing to wee loads and sore boobs. Prob from about a week before my period was due.

Tiredness and feeling a bit nauseous / out of sorts in week 3, week 4 massive boobs!

A tiny person was trying to pick-axe their way out of my head from about 6/7 weeks

I had terrible mood swings and very sore boobs. I didnt feel 'right' and knew before a test confirmed it. Then the nausea set in.....

This time (DC2) I fainted in Sainsburys. As I was going, I remember thinking it felt familiar to my first pregnancy... When I came round, I put a FRER in my shopping. Am now 27 weeks :)

Lack of my usual pre-period symptoms, so I think a couple of days before I was due. I was TTC, and I just had a niggling feeling in the back of my head that this was 'the one'. I hadn't had that any other month, despite desperately looking for any possible symptoms

Currently 5 weeks and I guessed I was pregnant when I felt a heavy, dragging feeling in my uterus a few days before my period was due that lasted for a couple of days. I never get morning sickness but sore nipples started at 4 and a half weeks.

oh and my spots were clearing up rather than appearing as they normally do before AF.

1st baby: a metallic taste and stronger sense of smell within a week of conception.

2nd baby : a few days before my period was due I had sex, and my orgasm felt like a pregnant orgasm. I spent the next couple of hours feeling pregnant in a non-specific way so I got a test and turned out to be up the duff.

There us one other time that I am pretty sure I was briefly pregnant, but I was on holiday so didn't test and then had a v painful late period.

Sore engorged boobs a more than a week before period was due. I woke up "felt them" and was pretty certain immediately that I was pregnant. Had to wait three more days until I got a positive pregnancy test (5 days before period was due).
They were different to normal monthly boobs. More sore and more hard. They looked fake!

first time round really stupidly hot and breathless all the time. took a test few days before period due and neg. took another few days later and positive.
this time round had no period to go by as still bf dd1 so not really much to go by period wise but feel all these weird stretchy feelings and so do tired. lo and behold i am updiffed!!

I 'had a feeling' really early on, despite it being my first pregnancy. I was ridiculously clumsy, had a funny taste in my mouth (like gas!) but when my period was due I did get the usual cramps and sore boobs too. I waited til I was 7 days overdue to test because I thought maybe I was just kidding myself because I wanted to be pregnant so much

I suspected I was pg when I vomited in tesco in the sandwich aisle during my lunch break.

My base chakra was going mental....

I couldn't sleep, with no logical explanation - not stressed, not too hot or cold, DH not snoring, cat not wriggling. I felt dizzy and light-headed and a bit "funny." I thought it was a virus or a bug. I did a test at about the time I thought I was due on, and it was negative, still felt the same a week later and tested again before knocking myself out with whatever I could find in the medicine cabinet, and I was 2-3 weeks pregnant according to the test, which turned out to be 5 weeks according to my scan dates. I must have been feeling weird from pretty much the moment of conception!

Extreme tiredness a week before my missed period such that I was going to bed at 9.30pm & we were away on holiday at the time, so very much not like me, then enormous boobs, Much bigger & more painful than usual premenstrual symptoms. I never had any sickness or increased peeing at all, but the tiredness was all-consuming till about 13-14 weeks. If I stopped moving after 5pm I fell asleep.

I didn't notice until I was 8 weeks gone! But a combination of drastic mood changes, bloatedness and constipation are what tipped me off. We were actively ttc but I was so wary of getting my hopes up I'd ignored every other indicator that I was pregnant, even a period that was 2 months late!

Extreme fatigue for me. I fell asleep getting my teeth cleaned with my first. I closed my eyes briefly at work during lunch and then snored myself awake two hours later when pregnant with my second. I had my last child at 42,no trouble with exhaustion but the immediate bulging belly was insane!

I was on day 24 of my cycle when i bauked as someone walked past me with a cigarette.
Went & bought Superdrug test...positive straight away!

Im 6wks 2 days now.
