Hi all

First time mum-to-be here :)

I'm just over 10 weeks pregnant, and the last few days have been having twinges in the lower pubic area (the bit that would be covered by an itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny-polka-dot-bikini). They seem to be stronger as the day goes on, but not too uncomfortable.

I know I need to get used to weird stuff happening to my body, but after a miscarriage last year I'm over-analysing every little feeling.

I guess I just want a bit of reassurance that this is normal, and not enough of a reason to pester the midwife :)

Thanks

Wonky x

Hi Wonky,

I think it's normal. I'm 10weeks+5 and have been having some twinges like you describe. It's probably just the uterus expanding/changing.

I know what you mean about worrying though! I have one DD who is 5.5 and had one missed mc four years ago, and can't stop obsessing about whether everything is ok this time around. With the mc I had horrible pains around 8 weeks, like being in labour, but no blood so only found out the bad news at the scan.

As long as its just twinges - and not severe pain and/or blood - I would try not to worry! Easier said than done, I know.....

Congrats on your pregnancy :)

does it feel like a pinch that comes and goes from the same place- i had this a lot and now 32 weeks. uterus expanding. i got all kind of random sensations at that stage tho- try not to worry unless very bad and/or bleeding red.
