Hi I have been diagnosed wid low lying placenta grade1, I wanted to ask if I can travel by plane in my 18 th week on 3.5 hours flight and der is hault for half an hour in between vid grade 1, is it risky.. I asked my doc she said u don't have to exert plane travel is fine Bt no exertions it cud cause bleeding... I ll be in the resort n no exertion but is it safe to fly... It's my first preg so quiet tensed. Plz suggest

My advice with a low lying placenta was to avoid anything strenuous. I don't think flying itself would count as strenuous but you would have to be careful with luggage. If you're traveling with someone make sure you get them to help lift your bags any time you need to, and make sure your hand baggage is light. Also depending on how many weeks till you fly, your placenta may have moved by then but I'm not sure if you'd get an opportunity to have another scan to check that.
