still suffering with PGP/SPD

My dd is now 4 months old and whilst I am in no way as bad as I was during the pregnancy, I am still suffering quite a lot of pain and discomfort. Ds, aged 2 and a half, means that I find it really hard to rest up. I am seeing chiropractor, practising Pilates at home (I used to go to classes, and I am avoiding any "open legs" positions etc), but some days I really do have difficulty walking and lifting dd. I was proscribed cocodamol by NHS GP, but I hate taking this as I find it causes constipation. I am BF, so a bit limited on medication.
Any advice please? Anything that I have missed? Will it go eventually? Most days I feel like I've run a marathon by bedtime!
