Failed sweep at 40 +5

Hi

I am 40 + 5 with my first baby. Had an attempted sweep today with a different MW as mine is on holiday. Wasn't sore, just uncomfortable. After a bit of a root around she said my cervix was too high and she couldn't do the sweep.

She said I could have another one in three days "but there probably won't be any change o no point". She booked me for induction next week..

Anybody have any experience of natural labour after a failed sweep? Don't really want o be induced and she wasn't awfully nice so don't want to see her again.

Yep. I had a failed sweep at 41 weeks followed by another at 41 plus 3 that brought on labour!

I started acupuncture at 41 plus 1 and think that helped!
