Please tell me I'm not alone and give me a giggle with your experiences with this?Grin

I am 18weeks and every night I go to sleep and have a wild mad dream, something which has only came to me in pregnancy,

Last night I had a dream OH and I got a candy floss machine and as we were making candy floss for the kids we realised that the machine wouldn't turn of... In the end our whole house filled up with candy floss and it just completely crazy...

Another, I was with OH dad in his 4x4 and we hit a bump and had a horrible car crash Confused

As much as I've had funny dreams I have had pretty nasty ones too ShockSad

Anyone else experiencing this?

Oh god yes, about buying a kitten and taking it to work (??) and various other random stuff. All feels so real at the time though. I've had a few nightmares too, including in the early days about money (less hung up on this now). It's like I've eaten a couple of pounds of cheese before bed every night...! xx

RJM17 · 03/06/2013 21:48

Oh the crazy dreams are all part of it or at least that's what I tell myself!! I have dreamt about taking a pet chicken for a walk on a lead and then going mad at DH because he put it in the fridge lol x

MrsPennyapple · 03/06/2013 21:50

I had one where I was back at an old workplace (except the building was actually my old secondary school), and they were putting on a big event, like a dinner / prize giving thing, where lots of important people would be in attendance, including the queen. I was given the task of being a gopher for her majesty, and had to get her some lunch. When I asked her what she wanted, she requested a turkey and twiglet sandwich. I woke myself up laughing at the sheer weirdness of that one!

HumphreyCobbler · 03/06/2013 21:56

I wake up tired from all the emotional trauma I dream about, night after night. It is slightly better this time though, in a previous pregnancy I constantly dreamed about losing the baby I had been responsible for looking after. DH once found me rootling around the boxes in the garage, looking for the baby Sad. It was horrible.

IBelieveInPink · 03/06/2013 22:31

Oh my god yes! Last night was the weirdest one yet!
One of my guy friends appeared at work to teleport me back in time to go and see various things, Tudor times, ancient Rome etc. He then gave me a gift of a bag of heroin (does it even come in bags?!) and we went to see one of my best friends who was working in a strip club. she was casually eating a bag of baby spinach. Finally, I 'woke up' told my friend he had done all of this, and he said it wasn't a dream?! Freaked me out when I actually woke up!!
I have been chuckling to myself all day about this!!

PistachioTruffle · 03/06/2013 22:47

Every night, from even before I knew I was pregnant. It's exhausting!

curlyclaz13 · 03/06/2013 23:10

last night I dreamt I was given a box of 16 disposable skipping ropes , WTF !
I have a regular dream about breastfeeding my two cats, I love my cats but that is way beyond anything I would ever do.

Smilehappy · 04/06/2013 00:23

Wow these all sound very bizarre! I wonder why pregnant women tend to suffer more dreams/nightmares while pregnant? It's so odd. And as some of you have said, exhausting!! Hmm

Hopefully I can snooze tonight -without something keeping my mind in overdrive! Blush

I had a dream the other night that I gave birth to twin boys who turned into rabbits and slept in the sink in my mum's house. I dreamed (same dream) that my big cousin kept leaving the back door open so the rabbits would escape and my mum and I kept having to chase them around ours and the neighbour's garden. Bizarre!

Futterby · 04/06/2013 01:27

RJM and MrsPenny actually laughed out loud, brilliant!

Futterby · 04/06/2013 01:28

*I did, I have no idea whether you did or not :p

MaMattoo · 04/06/2013 08:11

Oh dear lord! Yes! It all comes back. My imagination had gone bananas and I had the weirdest dreams with random people, impossible situations. It was like being on a roller coaster at night!!

AbiElizabeth · 04/06/2013 09:38

I had a dream last night that I owned a pizza delivery and we had run out of tomato sauce and we had millions of orders. so I drove to tescos and brought some. I wasn't even dreaming about going to tescos. I actually brought tomato sauce at 4am. only when I got home I realised that it was a dream and I now have 10 jars of sauce...

HeffalumpTheFlump · 04/06/2013 09:54

I have had awful ones. Last night I stupidly watched a bit of that program skint (watched it once before and a prostitute from it turned up in my dreams and tried to make me work with her), and the drunk window washing man was in my dream. We were at my primary school in the changing rooms and he tried to steal things from my bag. Then he tried to attack me and so I stabbed him with a butter knife. The dream ended with me looking down and seeing his body all chopped up, not nice.

FoofFighter · 04/06/2013 11:40

I keep getting the same theme, that OH tells me he doesn't love me anymore and is leaving. So very distressing, every couple of weeks I get the same scenario, and wake up very upset, crying.

PinkApple86 · 04/06/2013 11:44

haha these all made me chuckle. heffalump that window cleaning man from skint was so wasted I was laughing at that! I had some very weird dreams. In one my MIL told the police me and dh we're drug dealers and they raided the house. Also dreamed that dh had the baby instead of me and we celebrated in the hospital by eating bananas that we're thin like straws Hmm I'm quite enjoying the dreams its one of the fun things about pregnancy hehe

Gonnabmummy · 04/06/2013 12:22

The day before my 20 week scan I dreamed that me and DP had a little girl found out having a little boy and we had taken her home (wasn't our actual home where we live now though) and we got home around 2pm then I was putting her in bed at 10pm and burst into inconsolable tears because I realised we hadn't changed her nappy once Confused

YouSmellLikeBeefAndCheese · 04/06/2013 12:46

Last night I dreamt that I had to keep licking the walls so the badgers wouldn't stick to them. I forgot to lick one wall and 100's of badgers got stuck and I woke up crying and shouting about the poor badgers. Hmm

Smilehappy · 04/06/2013 14:59

GrinGrinGrin At these dreams!! Thank goodness I'm not the only one! Grin

I'm actually sitting laughing out loud, so glad it's not just me!! Abi, that's brilliant!! YouSmell, hahahaha!!

MrsPennyapple · 04/06/2013 16:32

YouSmell your badger dream made me laugh :)

I keep almost having erotic dreams, but somehow my subconscious sabotages them! So far this pregnancy I dreamed that I was flirting with Daniel Craig and he turned me down, also that I got as far as exchanging phone numbers with Russell Brand but woke up before anything happened, and I also dreamed that I got as far as getting into bed naked with a former on/off casual boyfriend before I told him that I couldn't as I was in a relationship.

AIBU to think I should be able to shag who I like in a dream?

AbiElizabeth · 04/06/2013 16:36

haha thanks futterby I have decided to make pizza for dinner because of all the bloody sauce I brought.

Futterby · 04/06/2013 16:47

Oh god hahaha!

Futterby · 04/06/2013 16:48

MrsPennyapple, in my dreams I'm always shagging my DP! I don't get to be as adventurous as I'd like :P

IBelieveInPink · 04/06/2013 18:29

Yousmell - best dream ever. You win :) :) :)
