So. I'm 33 weeks (with a massive baby, carrying low) and when I 'wiped' there was about an inch of sort of hard(ish) rubber like stuff....not like my normal discharge whatsoever. There was no blood or anything it was just a milky colour...could it be a bit I plug?
Dh and I DTD last night (it was his birthday after all lol) it was only a quickie thank feck! and that's left me a bit sore and swollen 'down there' so I wasn't sure if the two were connected.....
Sorry I'm rambling....

Hiya my plug came out exactly like that when I was 34+6 weeks, the next day my waters broke the following day the rest of it came out with blood and my contractions began - 4 hours later I was holding my baby.
I would give your MW a call just to be on the safe side. If it is the start of labour they can stop it as you are early.
Don't want to scare you it could be absolutely nothing - bit of seaman maybe?
Iv herd people can loose their plug quite a few weeks before labour starts as well.
Xx

Thanks for replying, don't think it could be seamen as had a shower thismorning and a good wash fown there, plus it was quite rubbery :/
Dunno I maybe I've overdone things today too, carrying vac up n down stairs n hoovering and cleaning n doing all the laundry n stuff x

The plug can regenerate just aslong as its not the bloody show which is normally quite large. I'm 30+2 and loose bits of my plug every now and again, it usually means changes are happening but labour isn't always imminent based on just that. BUT I would ring the midwife to be safe, because some people can loose abit then go into labour whilst some people like me can loose it for weeks (started loosing mine 10wk b4 ds2 was born) so as your still pre term its better to be safe :) xx

With dd1 I lost my plug, with blood in it, a good week or so before I went into labour.
This time I have been losing bits of mucus, no blood, (tmi?) now and again and am only 30 weeks. It is generally after dtd which is not that often!!
Hopefully it's nothing to worry about. Especially if there's no blood or contractions.

Thanks, no, no blood, baby moving about, getting some BH so just having a lay down on sofa while dh puts ds and dd to bed. Think I'm just gonna phone midwife in morning and let her know, xx
