I'll be 11 +6 and I'm quite excited but also pretty scared. This is the first time my pregnancy will be officially confirmed and I can stop thinking I'm just a crazy lady. Anyone else nervous before their scan and anyone got any tips on how to calm myself down?

Congratulations op! I am now 25+3 but I can still remember how nervous I was at my first scan that there wouldn't be a baby there! I told the sonographer that and she said every single first time mtb she had ever seen had said the same thing! Smile

I'm sure everything will be perfect. Enjoy it!

thanks Smile I know it's perfectly normal to be freaking out. OH is super excited and doesn't understand why I am worried.

Congratulations!

I wouldn't believe I was pregnant until I saw that little heart beat on the screen (30weeks and currently kicking me hard). I was also having dreams about going and them laughing at me that there wasn't a baby there.

The sonographer was telling us after ours they tend to find the heartbeat ASAP and show you that first so you can relax a little.

Enjoy yourself, it's amazing!

I can't wait to hear the heartbeat and actually accept that I am growing something inside me. Such a weird concept but so beautiful

I was expecting there to be no baby and for the sonographer to call me a fraud! That scan photo was glued to my hand for a good few weeks afterwards, I couldn't believe he was real! I think being worried there is no baby is a common feeling, I hope your sonographer is nicer than mine was! Enjoy your scan x

I had my first scan yesterday. I was so nervous, i kept thinking they would tell me the baby wasn't there and it was all in my head or there would be something wrong, and mostly as i was having an internal and this freaked me out! I had a little cry to my partner and he helped reassure me. I don't think there is anything wrong with worrying, but i'm sure everything will be fine. The unknown is scary , but as soon as you see your baby on the screen every worry will disapear! It was the most amazing experience, ours was such a little mover and waved its arms (i like to think baby was waving at us! haha) Our sonographer was lovely and answered everything and was so informative. Good luck and try not to stress (easier said than done) , it will be the best experience. I cant stop looking at all 12 pictures we got given! :D xxx
