Bump bands?

I didn't use them with DS1 but now 10 weeks with number 2 and not keen on spending a fortune on maternity trousers if I can help it (gave all the old stuff away Confused)...
So does anyone recommend those bump bands to keep unbuttoned trousers up? Do they actually work? And any recommendations for brands??
Thank you Smile

I'm 18 weeks and still wearing mine instead of maternity trousers, I find they work well and bought mine on eBay.

I couldn't get on with the band at all for some reason. I'm def preferring maternity jeans!

I found my normal jeans became to tight on my legs as well as my tummy by 12/13 weeks so just got some decent maternity jeans.

i just used a hair band and long vest for a bit until i had no choice but to venture into maternity gear

Not tried using bump bands to keep unbuttoned trousers up - can't imagine I'd have much success though. With DC1, I was one google shopping click away from buying some old man braces...

I'd recommend the hair band on the button solution for now, but then I found bump bands more useful when I was breastfeeding - could lift my top up without exposing my dangerously saggy midriff.

Damn that awkward in-between stage!

It is awkward!! And also treading a fine line between a lovely little bump and a beer gut. Humph.

a friend gave me one and i haven't got on with it.

tbh at work i felt too 'undressed' walking round with tousers undone, but mainly, i ccannot be bothered with the faff of re-arraging it every time i wee - which is often!

so far i am managing the hair band through the button trick!

didn't get on with those either - unless you're wearing something really floaty or bulky, the band and open trouser buttons would show through the clothes.
