Gave birth to my darling daughter after a very quick and natural!...I was begging for anything..... Birth lasting a grand total of around 5 hrs! That's with the staying at home bit included! 8lbs 3 and a half ounces and absolutely stunning, Lydia rose. The love of my life, who also gave me an internal tear worth 8 stitches! Cant blame her though, the speed surprised us both, she pooped in her waters....as did I ahem!...and peed myself lol. Good times xxx

Congratulations Jo. Finally hey :)

My contractions started at 2am. They are now 6 minutes apart and lasting just under a minute. Hopefully today will be the day for me!!

pinkteapot · 06/06/2013 06:14

great news joanna! I love that post birth high, hope you're enjoying it.

preggers, I might be along with you! contractions all last eve, stopped when I went to bed, started again about 4.30. gave up on sleep a half hour ago, theyre only every 10 mins or so, so it could yet be a false start...

hope you are well along and things go well. let us know!

preggersbycheggers · 06/06/2013 21:49

How are you doing pink top? My DS arrived today at 328pm.

pinkteapot · 06/06/2013 21:58

oh you lucky thing! am in labour as we speak, but its progressing slowly... still only 1 min contractions every 5 or 6 mins, been like that for hrs. 4th labour thought would be quicker. suspecting back to back position slowing things down. getting tired. but glad for you, cant wait to be on the other side with you!!

Hello everyone, I am joining you. 40+ 1 today. Been really trying throughout pregnancy not to look on due date as "D-day" as I know baby will come when he's ready but still slightly disappointed :)
Past few nights had very low backache which won't shift and a few twinges but nothing more and wake up the next day feeling normal. Sweep on Tuesday so lots of pineapple, dog walks, clary sage and sex (well probably not lots but as much as my hulking frame will allow), to try and avoid.
Well done pregers and any news Teapot?

joanna0211marie · 09/06/2013 16:38

I wish my contractions had given me a bit of warning, I had 2 that hurt then had horrendous diarrhea and a show, then bang! They were lasting 1 minute every 3 minutes, didn't have chance to get used to the idea I was in labour! Had to go straight to hospital.

pinkteapot · 09/06/2013 21:13

yes, had our little boy friday morning at 4.40am. 9lb 3oz healthy happy baba. longer labour than I was prepared for being no 4! 24 hrs start to finish (but no other problems, just slow). gave birth in water. glad to have it over :-)

chickenfactory · 12/06/2013 08:17

Finally i can add a baby girl to the mix at 40+12 and just gorgeous! Smile

igirisu · 13/06/2013 12:06

I'm 40+1 today and after months of people telling me I can't possibly go over (including midwife) I am overdue Angry I feel like I can't do anything or go anywhere because I'm just in limbo waiting, I have had a few false labours but no show, had reflexology 2 days ago and booked in for a sweep this afternoon but I know deep down that he's going to be in there until induction, sigh.

bringonthetrumpets · 13/06/2013 15:11

Feeling your frustration, Igirisu. 40+3 and midwives also told me this definitely wouldn't happen. Due with #3 and the first two came at 38 weeks! This is agony and a total mind-fuck. I've done it all. Acupuncture, disgusting Chinese herbs, nipple stim with the breast pump, sex, walking, and nadda. My midwives won't do a sweep until 42 weeks. Had a total melt-down last night (well, this morning really, as it was 2 am) and sob my eyeballs out. This feels so never-ending!
