So I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. I went to the toilet yesterday, and had a bowel movement. It was a bit painful, but when I went to wipe there was blood on the tissue, looked down and there seemed to be a LOT of blood in the toilet along with (again sorry for tmi!) what appeared to be rather a large blood clot.

I'm not in any pain but there has been blood again today, should I be worried? I don't have any other symptoms of piles that I know of.

I think you should call OOH and ask for advice.

Really? Ok, I thought it was pretty common so wasn't worried. Thanks. x

I definitely think its worth a call, just from the clot point of view.

Piles can cause a lot of bleeding so it's probably nothing to worry about but always good to get it checked out

Yes it's the "enough to have clotted" as well as lots in the loo (although obv it'll dilute and look more - combined with no pain, cause if you have piles I would think they#d be sore.

let us know how you get on?

Phoned OOH and they said that it is most likely haemorrhoids. They weren't worried as the blood was on the stool as opposed to in it.. lovely I know. to get over the counter cream and if no improvement by Monday then go and see GP for a stronger prescription. Thanks ladies. x
