O.M.G. The pain!! So gutted, due today and only just got them bad yesterday... Can anyone help? What works? So terrified of going into labour in case I rupture them or something. Feeling so down about it. Can anyone give me hope I won't end up even worse after the birth? Any tips for surviving this?

Hello, go out (or send dp) and buy anusol, apply liberally. Is safe during pregnancy. That should help by tomorrow.
Might come back after the birth - from time to time. Just use anusol again.

Thanks so much... Just feels like a kick in the teeth at the end of a long pregnancy doesn't it?

Its amazing how depressing these problems can be, try to keep your chin up and do what you can to ease the discomfort.

noticed them a week ago at 38 weeks, hoping they magically go ! only just uncomfortable a week on but I am irrationally disappointed in myself that I have them. might admit defeat and buy magic bum cream.

Do it! I had them like you from 38 weeks they were not really on my radar til they 'popped' yesterday and I never expected the pain! Could barely walk, not sit down or anything... You don't need it at 40 weeks.
