How many weeks pregnant am I?

Hi. I am very excited to be newly pregnant but I'm confused about the week counting. I know when I ovulated so I know how pregnant I actually am but i'm not sure in NHS weeks. The due date the GP gave me is different to the date on the NHS online calculator. How do I work out when I'm really due and if I want to look up my baby's development or pregnancy symptoms at a particular week, do I use the NHS week or the real week?

Look up a pregnancy calculator and put your dates in!

Congratulations.

Oh and your due date may change after your 12 week scan anyway.

Pregnancy is always officially dated from last mnstrual period - and that's international, not just NHS. It's based on a 28 day cycle, so at moment of conception you are 2 weeks pg.

I suggest you use the MN due date calendar (click link low down on RHS)

Congratulations! My due date changed 3 times in the first 13 weeks depending on who I saw and the results of the scans! How big is the difference in the dates you've been given? If you want to look at baby development websites (or what size fruit is my baby this week? I used to love doing that :) ) maybe just take a date in the middle of them?

As cupcake says they'll probably change it again at the 12 week scan and that's the one all the MW's/doctors will work to - though probably not the one baby will! Hope your pregnancy goes well.
