Hi there. I have had the implant for the last 3 years it was due to be replaced on 18 April but I didn't get an app at doctors until 4 June. My parter and I are planning on having a baby once I have had the implant removed. Over the last 3 years my periods have been regular. I was due to start my period Wednesday (29 April) but I'm late only by a few days. I haven't felt too great over the last few weeks but not sure if I was coming down with something as I work in a school and I thought I might have picked up a bug. Could my period be late due to my implant running out. I did a pregnancy test yesterday but it said negative. But then it might be too early too do a test. Any ideas xx

In my experience the tests are accurate from the day before AF. I don't know about the implant as I've never had one so perhaps a phone call to your GP is in order?

No idea on implant, but agree on accuracy of tests.

Only advice would be to get to the docs for a difinitive answer and put your mind at rest

Hettie78 · 31/05/2013 11:47

I'd say probably not but the only answer really is to wait a bit longer then poas. Good luck.

Hi, I took a couple of early detection tests very early. The first was negative but the second did detect pregnancy - well before a missed period - so I'd take a couple. I have been late before though. Sorry, I think it's just wait and retest :)
